Scotty's Sportfishing provides private boat charters for fishing and sightseeing out of beautiful Avalon Harbor on Catalina Island, CA.

The Captain has been fishing the waters surrounding Catalina Island for over eighteen years; as a commercial fisherman, a charter boat captain, and a private boater. 
He is a tournament-winning angler, and a USCG Licensed Captain. His intention is always to give you the best fishing experience he can.

Our charters are fun for first-timers and fishing fanatics alike...all levels of experience are welcome. Captain Scotty has been teaching people how to fish for years - including our 5-yr old! 

Our boat, Persevere, is a beautiful 2007 Parker - a 21 foot boat with a comfortable cabin. There is room for parties up to five, with a head, plenty of shade and  great deck space.
 
She is perfect for fishing! We love our Parker - we think you will too!


We are a family run, home based business, with Captain Scotty's expertise on the water, and Rebecca on the phone to help you plan a great trip.

We provide all the rod and reels, tackle, and bait you will need for your fishing adventure. If you would like to bring food and/or beverages we have a cooler on board. 

A California ocean fishing license is required for ages 16 and older, so don't forget to pick one up before your charter! Fishing licenses along with lots of other great fishy stuff are available at our local tackle shop, High Tide Traders on Crescent Ave. They are also available on-line through California Dept of Fish and Game.

Our boat can take parties up to 5 people with a combined weight up to 800 pounds. She is a perfect size for families.

In addition to fishing, we do sightseeing tours up and down the Catalina coastline, as well as trips to the Isthmus area.
